Dirty Belgians

Your Els Van Doren, 37, a mother of two and avid sky diver. You have friends, as sub-cultures tend to produce, namely one Els Clottemans, 22 (above), and her boyfriend. Let's just call him Marcel. You all sky dive together for years. But what you don't know is that at 14,000 feet alot of things happen, so damn your marriage, and your friend Els Clottemans, you start having a clandestine affair with Marcel. I know, I know, happens all the time. Here's what doesn't:

You go out, one sunny Belgian morning. You, Ms. Clottemans and Marcel are 13,000 feet in the air, joined together in a star formation, when you break away, ready to pull your parachute. But yours doesn't open. A witness, Wally Elters, described it this way: "I was working on my plane when I heard someone on the ground screaming and pointing to the sky. I looked up and saw a black spot falling quickly to the ground. It was wriggling about and it was pretty obvious it was a person. Above it were three people in parachutes coming down slowly. Then it hit the ground. It was an appalling moment."

Even more appalling - Mrs. Van Doren's head-mounted camera filmed her final moments. Even more appalling - her friend Els Clottesman has been charged with the murder by tampering with her parachute. Damn.....
